Golden Week
We spent our Golden Week vacation at Yoko's parents' house in Gobo. The
highway, which starts here on Rokko Island, now goes all the way to Gobo,
ending just a few kilometers from their house. We had to make three stops
in Osaka to pay tolls, but then it was non-stop all the way to Gobo. It
took 90 minutes. I can remember a time not too long ago when the same trip
took 6 hours or more!
As usual, we didn't do very much. We went to the beach (Enjyuu no hama)
with Yoko's brother and his son Kouji, and the kids gathered various shellfish
from the rocks. We also went to the top of the mountain behind the beach
and discovered a nice little park, complete with hang glider launch ramp!
