The area around Aloha Tower recently underwent a major renovation and now houses a variety of shops and restaurants that have made Aloha Tower Marketplace one of Honolulu's most popular nightspots. One of the biggest attractions is Gordon Biersch, a microbrewery-slash-restaurant. Friend Don, who arrived in Hawaii just that morning (our last day) took us there for our last-night fling. |
Those lights in the background? They're on a huge passenger ship that left port while we were there. Another first for Steve.
Gordon Biersch also features live music on many nights. The night we went, Rocky Brown was the featured act. Yoko and I liked her music so much that, when Don came back to Japan, he brought us her CD as omiyage! Thanks, Don!
A final farewell to Friend Don. Thanks, Don, for everything! See you back in Japan! |
