Brian's first time on ice skates. He loved it and would have skated all day, but Steve's feet were two sizes too big for those skates he's wearing here, and he couldn't skate for more than a few minutes at a time. Next trip back to the states, Steve will have to buy both shoes AND skates. Be patient, Brian. |

Brian blew us away with his performance in this day care running contest. Not with his speed -- we already knew he was fast -- but with his concentration. Before the race, he was clearly thnking about one thing only, and the look of grim determination on his face was almost scary. This was not our usual off-the-wall goofy-to-the-max BT. When the whistle blew, he was off like a shot. In the photo at left, he has already opened up a 3-yard lead just 5 yards from the starting point. He finished the 150-yard race about 75 yards ahead of the rest of the group, catching Steve totally unprepared to take a finsh-line photo. First place, Brian. Congratulations! Now if you could only show the same determination and concentration in cleaning up your room! | |
Covered in dirt, with a mischevious look on his face...just another typical day in the life of our very untypical B. |
