The annual concert at Brian's Yochien (kindergarten). B is second chair mallet.
After the concert, Brian was invited to a birthday party for one of his Yochien friends. Most of his Yochien class seemed to be there, as were several of the parents. It got to be quite a crowd, but everyone seemed to be having a blast, including B, who didn't want to leave, even for his Peter Pan class! That's a bottle of Nescafe ice coffee in front of B, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't for the kids. |
|
Why is B sitting on a giraffe? It turns out that the birthday girl's mother has a child care business, and the party was held in the child care room. No wonder she felt comfortable inviting so many kids -- and parents -- to the birthday party!
"Hey, gang! THIS way!" Or so the B seems to be saying. The 'gang' is on a nature hike around Rokko Island, but from the looks of most of these little hikers, they would rather be inside fingerpainting.
Around the same time as Brian's nature hike, Calvin's Peter Pan class took a hike along an abandoned rail line out in the country. That's Calvin at the front of the line. Part of the line goes through a long dark tunnel. The kids were asked to turn off their flashlights and perform certain tasks or help others perform their tasks. A good lesson about what it is like to be blind and how to be of service to a blind person. |
